Carpentry is one of the oldest and most popular construction trades and lots of people have enjoyed very successful careers as Carpenters. At Able Skills we are one of the biggest carpentry training centres in the UK. We run a variation of carpentry courses that are offered for adult learning.
Our carpentry courses range from short five day introductory courses to longer qualifications courses. We run courses that allow people to achieve level 1, 2 and 3 in carpentry as well as NVQs and Diplomas. Our carpentry courses are extremely popular and our centre is always full with lots of students working very hard with our dedicated team of instructors.
We offer weekend training and full time training to give flexible learning options to all of our students. Our carpentry centre has been running courses for 12 years and in this time successfully helping lots of students gain the skills they need and helping them build their new careers.
Whether you have a personal project at home or you are looking for a new and exciting career, we will have the course for you. The Introduction to Carpentry course is a perfect short course for anyone looking to gain a few woodworking skills to help them complete a personal project.

Our very popular City & Guilds Carpentry course is the perfect way to get started in a career as a Carpenter, this will allow you to start working domestically as a Carpenter. However, if your aim in your new career is to work on-site then you will need to complete an NVQ, which we also offer as well as the on-site assessments.
Whether you are local to us down in Kent or you are from further away, our courses are available to all as we offer our own accommodation for just £20 a night. This allows our students that are travelling to us to stay at a low price during their course.
