At Able Skills we like to keep up with what's going on in the industry. Over the last year the industry has seen so many changes whilst we have continued to provide high-quality Plumbing courses for beginners and professionals. The pandemic has not effected the trade industry as it has over types of business, however, of course the industry has had it's struggles. Now that we are in summer and restrictions are being lifted tradespeople around the country are experiencing huge increases in demand and earnings!
According to recent statistics 4 out of every 5 tradesperson have seen some kind of earnings increase. Around 82% following the most recent UK lockdown beginning in January earlier this year! This rise is not a small amount, the average increase is between 10 - 20% compared to their earnings last year.
This shift in earnings is great for the industry. It means that their are plenty of jobs out their for skilled professionals and that projects have resumed that have previously been put on hold during lockdown periods. The heightened demand for tradespeople is great for those who are thinking about getting into a trade. There has always been a demand but now that the industry is booming it's the perfect time to arm yourself with new skills and take on a career change!

As you can see in the video above, all the training that we provide is very hands on. Our Plumbing courses focus on helping our students gain both physical skills like pipe-bending and theory knowledge on things like cold & hot water systems, different definitions, the science behind water and much more.
When starting out with little or no experience, our Level 2 Plumbing course is the perfect choice. Why? because it offers 6-weeks of intensive training from experts in the trade. The course will prepare you for the industry and allows you to learn from our talented instructors, fantastic facilities and complete the necessary assessments. You don't need to bring anything with you when you attend. We provide all of the textbooks, tools, materials and equipment you could possibly need during your time with us.

Currently, we have spaces available starting on the 8th of November. We also have spaces staring on the 2nd of April in 2022 on a weekend basis. Our weekend option works the exact same as our traditional course but allows you to train over 2-weekends a month until completion. Hopefully this option is useful to those with commitment and or an existing job you would like to train around.

Did you know we offer Home-Study courses?
Our Home Study courses offer the perfect opportunity to get started with a brand-new career. The Home Study course works by giving you the materials needed to learn the theory surrounding the trade of plumbing, our 'Home-Study Pack' will include everything you need and can be sent to you straight away.
It is designed to reduce the total amount of time needed at our centre, however, we do recommend that you make the most of all materials given to give you the best chance of passing the course. You will need to make sure that you fully understand all the information that you are being presented with before attending our training centre.
After completing the theory aspects of the course, you will need to carry out four weeks of practical training and assessments in our centre. The weeks of training can be split into one week blocks, so it makes it easier and flexible for everyone to training around their everyday lives. Give us a call on 01322 280 202 for more insight!
