Able Skills have developed the best electrician courses available through not only providing great course material, but we make sure we take time to listen to the feedback given to us from our students themselves. After all, if what we offer doesn’t meet the standards of ambitious students, then we haven’t meet the essential requirements. Fortunately for us, we are most definitely on the right track as we are the UK’s market leader for providing electrician courses as well as many other construction training courses.
The City & Guilds accredited Domestic Electrical New Entrants Course allows for students who do not necessarily hold a comprehensive electrical background to access the domestic electrical industry. Due to the popularity of such course, we have added a PAT Testing qualification to help further develop students’ skills. Here’s an outline of the different stages students can expect over the 5 weeks.
Course 1 - C&G 4555 - Introduction to Domestic Electrical Installation and Understanding Electrical Installation and Applicable Building Regulations: 10 Days
Course 2 – C&G 2382-12 (17th Edition): 3 Days
Course 3 – C&G 2377-22 – Portable Appliance (PAT) Testing - 2 Days
Course 4 – C&G 2392-10 Level 2 Certificate in Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification
Course 5 – C&G 2391-50: Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations: 5 Days
Not everywhere offers City & Guilds accreditation and its one reason why our electrician courses are so popular that they attract people from all over the world. Just like Gillian Shields who has come all the way from Toronto, Canada and decided it was time to take part in our domestic electrical installation course to help take her property development business to the next level. Yes, this course can help prepare you to work on site, but we urge students to not be afraid to follow in Gillian’s footsteps and perhaps start something on your own!
Gillian told us such 5 week course ‘fitted well with her work commitments’ as she is learning so much in such little time, but more importantly, she can apply these comprehensive 5 weeks to her property development business. Gillian couldn’t be happier with the course after not having any previous experience whatsoever.
Only in her second week, Gillian is astounded at the detail covered and is expecting to work even harder as she progresses onto the second section of the course and welcomes the challenge as she explained, ‘there’s a lot of knowledge to take in but the safe and easy setting allows me to learn to the best of my ability’. Ofcourse, take a look below at just one section of our electrical centre where our electrician courses are held.
Learning alongside Gillian is previous kitchen fitter Colin Easey. Colin knew the industry benefits of selecting one of our electrician courses as he knew it would help keep his options open for the future. When speaking with Colin about his time here only after his first week, he expressed how the course at our City & Guilds accredited centre ‘ticks all the boxes’ he expected it would. Many students arrive here with great expectations that are always met through online reviews. You can read these honest reviews too, simply search ‘Able Skills reviews’ and we’ll let the results do the talking for us!
Just like Gillian, Colin was quick to compliment the centre stating it was the whole set up and the facilities that stuck out to him the most upon arrival. Both students realised they had one more thing in common as they both utilised our easy interest-free payment system allowing them to spread the costs of the course over time. We keep it flexible here at Able Skills and help cater to all students’ needs and this option is available across all courses and not only our electrician courses
