Simply put, there's a reason why you won't be able to get onto one of our Gas Courses overnight. The demand for our training has come about since the country's skills shortage came into affect which meant there was so much work but not enough tradesmen to match such high demand.
There are several other reasons for the boost in construction, but with the housing shortage being at an all time high, the country is struggling to find fully qualified Gas Engineers to undergo work stemming from boiler installations, boiler fault finding and all other gas related work.
It's exactly here where Able Skills Gas Courses fit in and help build tradesmen's careers from whether it's the very first trade they've ever learnt, or whether they hold previous plumbing qualifications under their belt. We'll speak about this next as we have Gas Training Courses for those who are completely new entrants as well as for Plumbers.
New Entrants Gas Courses
It's exactly what it says on the tin. If you hold zero experience within gas and come from a non trade related background, we promise to get you up to scratch and put you well on your way to becoming a fully qualified Gas Safe Registered Engineer.
Depending on which route you choose, you could have your 7 Week Gas Safety Training, ACS Exams, Gas Portfolio and The Boiler Fault Finding Course all under one Gas Course. The major benefit here is that you don't have to worry about looking around for a company to take you out on site as we GUARANTEE you a portfolio placement.
For those that may not know, completing a gas portfolio is essential to showing your competent enough to work with gas and simply provides evidence that you'll be able to undergo such work in the real world.
Another Route...
Another one of our Gas Courses you may have heard about is our Qualified Plumber Gas Course. This obviously only applies to anyone who has undergone and successfully completed a Plumbing Course. Should this be the case this route cuts the 7 weeks Gas Training down to 5 as the 7 week course involves pipe skills at the start.
With regards to the ACS Exams, portfolio and Boiler Fault Finding Course, you are still eligible for all 3 and can be found in the same course here.
These two routes are our most commonly taught Gas Training Courses and slowly but surely we're at the forefront of eliminating the skills shortage and meeting the demand for Gas Engineers.
Whether you're a newcomer or Plumber looking to turnover to Gas or add this as an additional service, find out more about our Gas Courses that are taught on both a full time basis and part time!
