If you’re not local to Able Skills, don’t worry—you can still train with us! We welcome students from all across the UK and overseas who come to Able Skills to learn new skills and gain qualifications in construction trades.
To accommodate this, we have three HMO (House of Multiple Occupancy) properties so we can offer an affordable place to stay while you’re doing your training.
A convenient and affordable place to stay
Our accommodation is available to any Able Skills student who would like to stay nearby while they are completing their course.
We keep the price of the accommodation to a minimum, to ensure that it’s accessible to as many people as possible.
Although the price of the accommodation isn’t included in the course fees, we do recommend that you book at the same time as you book your course, as we can get very busy!
Able Skills is in Dartford, a well-equipped and accessible town with transport links via rail and road—it's just a 10-minute drive to the M25. There are plenty of nearby supermarkets and places to eat.
If you’re travelling by car, some of the properties even have their own allocated secure parking facilities so you can leave your car there and walk to the centre.

Fully-equipped accommodation
These properties are for the exclusive use of Able Skills students and are maintained on a daily basis by Able Skills’ staff.
If you stay with us, you’ll enjoy your own comfortable fully-furnished room with shared kitchen and dining facilities where you can meet fellow students.
All of our accommodation properties are licensed HMOs. This means that they are fully equipped to meet the local authority standards for HMOs.

Booking your accommodation
When you book your course, depending on where you live or where you’re travelling from, you’ll already have an idea whether you’ll need a place to stay. We do recommend that you book your accommodation as soon as possible. Due to its convenience and price, at busy times we can get booked up.
Please let us know when you book, and we can confirm what we have available. If we are already fully booked on your dates, we have a list of alternative local accommodations.
