Alternative ways to take on Plumbing courses!
In these uncertain times, we want to let students know that there are alternative ways that you can gain professional plumbing training...We are always striving to be as flexible as possible when it comes to payments and the way that students achieve those all-important qualifications with our help. We want to make sure that everybody has the opportunity to start a career in the trade one way or another, today we will be looking at what methods are available to students to complete our Level 2 Plumbing course outside of the traditional Monday - Friday plumbing courses. Let's take a look at these alternative training methods and how to get started:
Able Skills Plumbing Courses.
Weekend training:
When looking to complete our City & Guilds Level 2 Plumbing course you have the option to take the entire course of a series of weekends (2-weekends a month). If you want to get started in the industry and learn the fundamentals that you need to get on the tools then this course is a no-brainer. Having the ability to achieve the exact same qualification on a weekend-basis is hopefully helpful for some of you aspiring plumbers. We do not cut any corners when it comes to the weekend versions of our courses, you will be trained by the same talented instructors and receive all of the same lessons both theory and practical. The only difference that this option presents is that the qualification will take you a much longer time to complete when compared to the straight 6-weeks that the traditional method sees the courses completed by. Again, we are flexible with our payments, A £500 deposit will secure a booking and the balance can be paid in 7-instalments!
Home-Study training:
We also offer what we call a 'Home-Study' option, our Home Study Level 2 Plumbing Course which aims to reduce the amount of time spent here at our centre. We do this by giving you a 'Home-Study Pack' which includes all of the theory surrounding this level 2 award. Instead of learning the theory from an instructor you will learn from this learning material, so it is important that you take your time with it and make sure that you gain a full understanding of everything included in the pack. This could take you anywhere between 3 - 6 months and you can get started straight away after applying! You will also have access to the online learning platform 'Smartscreen' as a tool for further information. Once you are confident that you know what you have been given you will then book 4-weeks during which to learn the practical side of the trade and complete the assessments necessary to achieve this qualification!

How can I get started?
Well, when looking to take on weekend training, you can apply online. Simply look for the course you are interested in and click on the green button marked 'Reserve your Space', select weekends dates, find a starting date that suits you, follow the instructions and you'll be enrolled in no time. However, if you are interested in our Home-Study courses such as our Home Study Level 2 Plumbing Course you will need to contact us on 01322 280 202! As there are no set dates for this course, you will be sent a Home-Study Pack straight away and the 4-weeks needed at our centre will be chosen by you at a later date, again though contacting us over the phone or email.
