This week has been our annual BPEC visit here at our centre in Dartford for our Gas Training Courses. Before Christmas, we had to make changes to our gas training programmes and they have all been approved by BPEC and we are now approved and will appear on the IGEM website.
We offer a wide range of Gas Packages here at Able Skills. From new entrant packages to qualified Plumber packages. These are extremely popular on both sides because many of our students that take the City & Guilds Level 2 Plumbing Course will then upgrade to the Gas Course. It is also a very popular route for people to take the New Entrants route as they are looking for a new career in the Gas Industry.
Making sure our gas courses are run to the right standard means our students are well trained to safely and correctly go out and complete gas work in people’s homes. Our team of Gas Instructors have years’ worth of experience teaching and working in the Gas Industry. Just because you are a Plumber it does not mean you can carry out gas work. Completing gas work without the right qualifications and training you could potentially be putting people’s lives at risk due to gas leaks, fires, explosions, and carbon monoxide poisoning.
Once each student has completed their training course they then need to collect a portfolio of evidence carrying out gas installations and gas work with a Gas Safe Engineer. We can offer a guaranteed portfolio placement for students that have completed all their gas training here with us at Able Skills.
If you are interested in becoming a Gas Safe Engineer in 2018, please do not hesitate to contact us on 01322 280 202 for more information. We also always welcome visitors here at our centre in Dartford. No appointment is needed, just pop down and we will be more than happy to show you around.
