2019 is looming large on the horizon and preparations for the New Year are well underway at Able Skills. Yet again after another highly successful year among our Electrician Courses, we are already seeing 2019 shaping up to be just as great. With lots of students booking onto a range of electrical courses to get started in their new careers, and 2019 could potentially be the year you change your career and become an Electrician, here is how to get started…
To become a fully qualified Electrician, the most complete package that gets you from a beginner to being fully qualified is the Gold Card Electrician Package. Beginning with the Level 2 Electrical Course and taking you through everything right up to the NVQ and AM2.
The best way to get started is finding a pathway that suits your everyday life. We offer full-time options, weekend training and also home study training. Each can get you the qualifications you need, however, each course will suit someone’s diary.
Booking the Gold Card package will require a £750 deposit and the remaining balance is split up into equal payments across your course. So far, we are already looking to the end of January for the full-time option and even further down the line for the weekend option.
Here are all the courses and duration of the Gold Card package – Based on Full-Time route:
- City & Guilds Level 2 Electrical Course – 7 Weeks
- 18th Edition Course – 1 Week
- City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Course – 7 Weeks
- 2391 Inspection & Testing – 1 Week (plus practical assessment)
- NVQ - 1 Day profiling then On-site assessments
- AM2 – 2 ½ Day assessment
A lot of hard work is required to complete this course but the opportunities after are endless. The industry right now is calling out for Electricians up and down the UK with a mass skills shortage still ongoing. With Theresa May announcing more house building plans, the need for Electricians will be higher than ever before.
2019 could be your year to get started in that new career you’ve always dreamed of and get yourself out a job you hate and make yourself a career.
