Technicians who have completed renewable energy courses could be called upon to fit and maintain biomass power generators more frequently in the future.
Cheshire business Enerfina pointed out in a recent statement that there are a variety of products of this type to suit different properties.
It cited research by the UK Energy Research Centre that lauded the cultivation of biomass crops, as it will help boost sustainable power generation while not having a negative impact on food production or the environment.
Tradesmen on renewable energy courses could find their services are in greater demand if this type of power gains popularity.
Enerfina claimed biomass crops could allow four per cent of the UK's power to be produced in this way.
The government's renewable heat incentive offers consumers financial support for installing biomass microgeneration devices, as well as solar panels, heat pumps and other items.
Announced last month, the policy is aimed at revolutionising the way homes are heated by improving efficiency and harnessing sustainable power generators.
