Seddon Construction has named Harvey Wilson, from Bolton, as its nationwide apprentice of the year.
Wilson was selected using input from teams and project managers on apprentices’ work. He was praised for his overall performance by many who have worked with him and he was presented with an engraved tankard and some money to mark his achievement.
Supported by his employer, Wilson has so far completed Plumbing NVQ Level 2 and 3 qualifications and his Gas Safety qualifications. Seddon Construction has been employing apprentices for the last 75 years and recently celebrated this anniversary in 2012 by taking on 86 new plumbing trainees.
Seddon Construction labour manager, David Sivill, said, “Harvey puts in 100 per cent effort every day and has done ever since joining the company four years ago. He’s a worthy winner of this award and exemplifies the success of our apprenticeship scheme in bringing dedicated and talented young people into the business.”
