Able Skills had a visit from BPEC this week, Paul Johnson, Chief Executive.
Paul was visiting the South for meetings and decided to take the opportunity to pop in to meet us all, take a look at our facilities and to discuss the support that we receive from BPEC.
We had a lovely chat over tea and coffee; we spent time discussing the Domestic Gas Foundation course that we provide on behalf of BPEC and Paul took time to look at the learning materials that we have put together for the students. Our Gas Assessors explained to Paul the depth of the information within the learning material, explaining to Paul that our students get to retain the materials with a view to use it as ongoing reference once they qualify as Gas Engineers. Nothing has been left out of our course work and we have ensured that there is information within our folders to cover every eventuality that an Engineer may come up against whilst working on a variety of gas appliances.
We then took Paul on a tour of all our plumbing and gas workshops. Paul was able to see the facilities within our 3 gas training centres as well as have the opportunity to look at our new Boiler Fault Finding course which is way more popular than we imagined it would be. Paul said that he felt that there was a great atmosphere at Able Skills and he very much enjoyed watching the students getting involved in the various tasks he observed. Paul spends most of his time office bound and misses seeing what is happening within the training centres that BPEC supports.
We are extremely proud to be a BPEC approved Centre for our gas training and assessment packages and we genuinely feel that they are the best certification body out there. The support that we receive from BPEC is excellent and the relationship that we have with everyone involved with us at BPEC is amazing. Paul was very happy to hear this; I think he left us knowing that we will remain a BPEC centre for years to come and he can feel good in the knowledge that his staff at BPEC provide us with an excellent service.
Our Gas Courses here at Able Skills are amongst the most popular courses we offer. From the Gas Foundation Course right through to the ACS assessment, we are booked months in advance.
We were extremely happy that Paul Johnson, BPEC Chief Executive, took the time to come to visit us here at Able Skills and we are delighted that he left with confidence that we are delivering training and assessment on their behalf in the correct manner. We are looking to produce the best possible gas engineers possible, keeping the industry safe.
