Two bricklaying courses in Boston, Lincolnshire are being held to help improve the health and safety knowledge of employees in the industry.
Organised by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), the events at the Princess Royal Sports Arena on June 15th and 16th are open to people employed in various construction-related activities, such as plastering and plumbing.
Health and safety will be the subject of these particular bricklaying courses, which are open to small businesses, students and apprentices.
HSE health and safety awareness officer Nicola Smy said: "At this event we hope to encourage new entrants to the construction industry to be aware of the risks they may face and take responsibility for themselves and their colleagues."
She also claimed businesses and employees must work together to achieve effective health and safety.
Last week, the HSE revealed it will be carrying out a series of safety checks on Scottish farms to observe how quad bikes are being used.
