The year is quickly drawing to a close, but we are still as busy as ever here at Able Skills. Our Dartford centre is full of students across all the construction and technical trades. Students new and old are here looking to get their courses in before the year ends.
We have had a very busy week here at Able Skills with lots of new courses starting and longer courses continuing. Here you can see everything that has been going on at Able Skills this week.
Electrical
As ever, we have lots of students on a range of electrician courses with us, whether it is short courses or longer courses, we have them all here in Dartford. The continuation of our City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Courses, which we currently have three groups running. Many are on assessments and working hard to get the final stages completed. Along with this we have had another full 18th Edition Course as the demands just seems to keep increasing for this course. This had a very high pass rate this week. Also, students returning to us for the 2391 course this week have been going very well.
With all this, we also had a new Domestic Installer programme begin this week. Full of students looking for a new start in their careers. They will spend two weeks on the domestic course before eventually moving onto 18th Edition and the 2392 Inspection & Testing.
Gas
We are extremely busy within our gas centres leading up to Christmas with lots of students coming for their ACS Assessments after portfolio completion. Also, we have two courses running across our centre. One for New Entrants that is now 4 weeks in and the other for Qualified Plumbers that are now on their second week with us.
Plumbing
Home Study is the name of the game this week. We have a whole centre full of Plumbing students on their home study courses as the look to get their practical training and pass their online exams. Our Home Study option has grown massively in popularity this year and we are seeing more and more people take this flexible training route.
Construction
Across all the construction trades we have lots of new starts this week, some on qualification courses and some on the basic DIY courses. We offer City & Guilds qualifications and NVQs for students to get the best possible start in their new careers. Our plastering centre is especially busy this week with 10 new starters!
