Have you thought about becoming a plumber but don't have the time? Well...Today we will be talking about an alternative training option that could make 2020 a great year for your career! So, when we are talking to students and they say they want to become a plumber we often point them towards our City & Guilds Level 2 Plumbing Course as it is the ultimate starting place for a successful career in the trade, but today we are looking at the Home Study Level 2 Plumbing Course which is the exact same course in terms of the content but is completed in a more manage way for those with an existing job or prior arrangements. - We have availability for this course starting in both January & February!

How does it work?
Well, it's more simple than you think - as the title says you will begin by studying at home, we will provide you with a 'Home-Study Pack' and access to the online learning recourse platform 'Smart screen'. With these two tools you will learn the theoretical side of plumbing in your own time, we usually recommend about 6-weeks, then when you feel comfortable in this information you will book 4 separate weeks, during which you will attend our centre here in Dartford to learn the practical half of this qualification as well as completing the relevant exams.
You will achieve the foundation skills and knowledge to move in to the plumbing industry.
This home study plumbing course covers various aspects of plumbing including:
- Health and safety in building services engineering
- Electrical principles and processes for building services engineering
- Scientific principles for domestic, industrial and commercial plumbing
- Common plumbing processes
- Cold water systems
- Domestic hot water systems
- Sanitation
- Central heating systems
- Drainage systems
- Understand how to communicate with others within building services engineering

If you live outside of a reasonable commute then please be aware that we do have accommodation available, situated just a short walk from us, this £20 a night option could be great for those of you that live outside of London and so on.
