Here at Able Skills during the last lockdown we took advantage of the downtime and improved one of our electrical workshops. Structured and purpose built to allow for hands-on practical training during our electrical courses which will set our students on the path to becoming fully qualified Electricians. The newly renovated bays that you can see in the video below now include EV charging Points which we will be teaching courses for shortly. We hope the upgrade will give students a refreshing and more organised space to learn and develop their skills!
We are always looking to improve the experience for our students. Currently, we still have safety measures in place to ensure that we are presenting a space that is both safe and reliable for our students and staff. This includes hand sanitising stations, wearing PPE, reduced class sizes and Home-Study options.
We offer a complete range of Electrician courses and focus on being a centre of excellence. This means that our focal point is helping aspiring electricians become fully-qualified.
Where can I get started?
When you are looking into becoming an electrician it seems like there are so many qualifications and it may be confusing on where exactly to start. Here at Able Skills we have been teaching for 20-years and understand what it takes to go from little or no experience to becoming a professional.
Our Gold Card Approved Electrician Package is the ultimate collection of courses and includes almost every electrical course that we offer. The package includes our City & Guilds Level 2 course, City & Guilds Level 3, PAT Testing, 18th Edition, Inspection & Testing as well as an AM2 assessment!
The course is initially 15-weeks of hands-on training and classroom-based theory sessions. The NVQ and AM2 will follow on from here but the dates for assessment are more likely to be determined by you.
This package, upon completion will put you in the position of being eligible for a JIB Gold Card! This is the card to apply for to identify yourself as a qualified installation electrician. The card covers a wide range of occupations in the electrotechnical industry.
