City & Guilds Level 2 Electrical Courses this year!
If you are looking to become an Electrician and work within Commercial and Industrial premises then this qualification is your starting point. This course is 7-weeks in total and is a great springboard in terms of training as an electrician - a point from which to move forward from, this course will start with the basics and work towards much more advanced aspects of the trade and ultimately learn to become a domestic electrician from scratch. We have spaces available for this course starting in April & May!
After completing this City & Guilds Level 2 course you will have many options and necessary steps in front of you before you can be working out in the industry, however, this course is undeniably one of the best ways to gain a real insight into how the trade works both practically and on a theoretical level. The course will also provide an understanding of the Health & Safety requirements governing electrical installation processes, and knowledge of the organisation and structure of the electrical industry within which these activities are carried out.
Ways to learn:
Our instructors will help you every step of the way - they are experts on the subject and know how to provide quality teaching, they all have a great deal of experience that has been gained through years of working the trade on a daily basis as well as now teaching the trade here at our facility. There is no better place to gain an overall comprehensive understanding of electrical work. This course is available Full Time, Part Time at Weekends (on a 2 weekend on and 2 weekend off basis) and also as a Flexible Training option whereby you can attend in pre-designated separate weekly blocks over a longer period of time.
We also have a Home-Study level 2 Electrical course! That's right...This option was made for those who have an existing job and or prior arrangements, kids and so on that they can't take time away from. The way this course works is you will be provided with a 'Course-Study Pack' and access to the online learning platform 'Smart-screen'. With these two tools you will learn the majority of the theoretical side of this qualification in your own time, then you will need to book 4 separate weeks during which you will learn the practical side and complete examinations. We recommend that you take your time with these materials and take around 6-weeks to become confident in your new-found theory knowledge before attempting to attend the practical side of the course here at Able Skills. - We have spaces available on this 'Home-Study' option starting in January, February, March, April & May!
