Selecting our Handy Man course will give students the chance to study several trades within an 8 week period.

Tiling
Students will be taken through both wall and floor tiling, teaching them to tile using a range of different products, covering different patterns and tiling in different areas.
Carpentry
This course covers a range of aspects including architraves, skirtings, doorstops, fitting a door lining/frame, hanging a door and fitting a lock. This is just a few of what instructors have on offer
Plumbing
This course deals with all aspects of domestic plumbing including systems and fittings, soldering techniques, jointing, bending and pressure testing copper tube, valves, taps and cisterns and plastic tube installations – all leading to a complete bathroom installation.
Bricklaying
This course will teach you to set out lines, use brick and blockwork, build a corner, a pier, put in a damp course, learn about different bonds and pointing for face work.
Plastering
This course covers fixing plasterboard and taping joints (except weekends), cutting and fixing angle beads, bonding of surfaces, skimming walls and ceilings.
Painting and Decorating
This course covers surface preparation work including repairs, application of both water based and oil based products, cutting around obstructions, how to use brushes and rollers effectively and cutting, pasting and hanging wallpaper.
