Starting a new career can be a daunting prospect as it is often a step into the unknown and something completely new. Many people will look at a new career but will never actually take the dive into retraining. However, Hanna decided that it was time for her to make a change and retrain with our decorating courses.
Hanna decided during last year that she wanted a change and our decorating courses provided her with the chance to make the change. She enrolled onto the City & Guilds Painting & Decorating Course at Able Skills. However, she chose to complete this course over weekends as it was a more flexible option. Just like many others Hanna chose the weekend option as it allowed her to fit the course around her everyday life. Our weekend training is available for the majority of our courses and it is proving to be a very popular option.
After completing her course at the back end of last year she has been determined to get started in her brand-new career. In January, Hanna went self-employed as a Decorator and since then has been crazy busy with work all the time and is really enjoying her new career. She hasn’t had any quiet times yet and is very proud of what she has achieved. So busy that she is currently booked up THREE MONTHS in advance!
Being so busy, Hanna has decided to come back some time in the future to extend her training and gain the NVQ Level 2 Qualification at Able Skills. Hopefully she will have time to return after all the work she is currently undertaking.
