A new £23 million leisure centre being built in the south-east of England could result in more demand for electrical courses in the area.
Construction News revealed that Leadbitter has won the contract to develop the Beacontree Heath facility, which will include a swimming pool, sports hall, dance studios, a soft play area and a fitness suite.
The building of the pool is likely to need the services of professionals who have completed electrical courses, since it is set to feature a moveable floor and underwater lighting.
Partnering Leadbitter in the project will be Andrew Waring Associates and Saunders Architects, with the estimated completion date for this London Borough of Barking and Dagenham project currently set at spring 2011, explained the news provider.
The venue revealed that in order for the new construction to be completed, several gas, water and sewage pipes will need to be relocated.
Beacontree Heath will replace Dagenham Pool and Wood Lane Sports Centre.
