Today we'll be speaking about where various Electrical Courses can take you in terms of a career! Before enrolling, naturally you guys would have some sort of idea of what you would like to do after successfully completing your City & Guilds accredited course. Many have aspirations of working for themselves or on site but some maybe going for something a bit more career focused. Whether your undergoing one of our Part P Courses or working towards achieving your Level 3 NVQ, we'll give you some ideas as to which route you could go down. But remember there are so many possibilities and these aren't all of your options!
Let's begin with Part P Courses
Part P courses like our Introduction to Basic Domestic Electrics as well as our regular and advanced courses, hold the key to to securing a future role as a qualified Domestic Installer. Even if you don't already hold an electrical background in the field, we have the training facilities to take you to the level you need to be at in order to not only carry out your own work, but to sign it off too. As the course is designed to improve your skills to work within a domestic sector, you could be looking at jobs paying a good £40-50k a year!
The Level 2 Electrical Course
This is an excellent training programme which can get you working on site upon completion. Being a massively popular course, all of our students who enroll on this course have the intention to one day work for themselves and is a great starting point for anyone new to the industry but looking to get 'stuck in' straight away. Electrical Courses such as these give students the right foundation for further careers and is a true starting point for anyone looking to become a fully qualified Electrician. We've even had students who hold backgrounds in other trades enroll on this course as it can be a great compliment to your cv by combining it with another trade.
Inspection and Testing
This is a course targeted at those who already have some form of experience in the industry but have not carried out Inspection and Testing since qualifying or need a refresher. When training on this course, one thing students have their eyes on is gaining their Qualified Supervisors' card. Being a great position to have, this is where tradesmen can hire a group of guys to work for them and then test their work. It can be a great earner especially if you have your own firm.
NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualification
Amongst all of our Electrical Courses, this is certainly one for anyone on the more experienced side of the industry. Offering courses for those new to electrics as well as those who are more experienced, the NVQ Level 3 is available at Able Skills in 3 ways: those doing it for their first time, an 'experienced workers route' and we even have a JIB mature candidate route too. Being self explanatory, regardless of what category you fit in, we can help you achieve your Level 3 on either a full time or part time basis!
