If you’re currently working as a plumber, do you have a good understanding of water regulations?

Water regulations apply to all properties where there’s a mains water supply. They are enforced to protect public health by controlling the quality of our water through the correct installation and maintenance of plumbing systems, and preventing contamination and waste.

Water regs apply to plumbers and tradespeople, property owners and developers, and anyone who is involved in installation and maintenance or the design of water systems.

WRAS (Water Regulations Approval Scheme) found that 91% of approved plumbers believe it should be mandatory for plumbers to undertake water fittings regulations training to ensure plumbers apply the water fittings regulations correctly.
