Domestic electrical work!
Have you ever considered re-wiring your own home? Or possibly doing some DIY electrical work? Maybe even a career as a domestic electrician? Well...Here at Able Skills, we teach students year on year how to become domestic electricians by helping them to gain recognised qualifications through our training programmes.
We run a large variety of electrical courses so it may be hard to differentiate between the courses for somebody ho is not familiar with electrical training...All you need to know is to carry out domestic electrical work you are looking at our Domestic Electrical Part-P Package which is the all-round collection of courses and qualifications that you need to begin work in a domestic setting.
Upon completion of this package, hopefully, you will meet the requirements of the competent persons (https://www.competentperson.co.uk/) scheme providers to register on to their Domestic Installer scheme, however, if you do not have a history of undertaking electrical installations, you should work on gaining some experience before registering. For those who have previous electrical experience – the qualifications achieved on this package will usually allow you to join a scheme straight away. This is a requirement when looking to carry out work on-site legally.

Please be aware that this package of learning can be completed in 5 consecutive weeks or you can break the time up – Weeks 1 and 2 will always have to be completed back to back but weeks 3 and 4 can be completed later if preferred. As above, we recommend gaining some work experience before undertaking week 5.
