Details of the Clerk Maxwell lecture to be delivered by the chief executive of the National Grid have been announced by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), which could appeal to tradespersons who have been on electrical or plumbing training courses.
Those who want to find out more about how Britain is potentially going to supply renewable energy and combat climate change in the future could find the talk by Steve Holliday particularly interesting.
According to the IET, he will speak about smart grids, windfarms, the government, consumers, electric vehicles and a host of ideas and opinions on what needs to be done to overcome the problems facing the energy industry.
The lecture will last for approximately one hour and will take place on Thursday February 11th at IET London: Savoy Place.
Previous speakers at the Clerk Maxwell lecture include Allan Jones from the London Climate Change Agency, Stewart Saunders of China Light and Power Co. and Stanford University's Professor MR Beasley.
