Workers in the process of completing an electrical course may be interested to hear about a new agreement between the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the Building Control Alliance.
The arrangement, which was signed at 11:00 BST on Friday September 17th 2010, will see the two organisations working more closely to improve standards on construction sites.
Technicians taking an electrical course will no doubt be aware of the importance of health and safety regulations in the workplace and HSE chief inspector of construction Philip White stressed that everyone should be involved in spreading this message.
He was quoted as saying: "Today's agreement does not change a duty holder's responsibility to protect workers' health and safety but has created another opportunity to get potentially life saving advice."
Last week, the HSE highlighted an event taking place in Scotland at the Borders Union Showground, which it observed could help construction workers in the country pick up "lifesaving advice".
