Link-ups between the UK and nearby countries could see electrical course students enjoy international partnerships if they find employment in the energy supply sector.
UK media relations manager at National Grid Stewart Larque explained that electricity transmission deals with Norway and The Netherlands are being negotiated, while an agreement with France is already in place.
In his view, there will definitely be more international links between the UK and other countries, which could mean that people studying electrical course qualifications have the chance to deal with foreign organisations.
"There will certainly be a bigger network in the North Sea, but the extent to which everything is connected up between different countries, I think is difficult to say," remarked Mr Larque.
