Nothing holds more weight than real life reviews of someone else who has undergone the Electrical Courses or Electrician Training you're thinking of doing yourself. Neil Cole is one of the latest students currently training towards achieving his JIB Gold Card and we thought we would catch up with him for a quick chat and let you guys know a bit more about how the JIB Gold Card works, what it's for and we even find out why Neil chose it!
So What Is The JIB Gold Card?
The JIB Gold Card Package consists of several Able Skills Electrical and Electrician Courses which teach you to become an Electrician, a Domestic Installer, to test portable appliances, to inspect and test on both single and three phase supplies and you also achieve a level 3 NVQ and AM2.
Being a fully comprehensive package, the JIB Gold Card Route means you have everything you need from start to finish to become a qualified Electrician and gives the required skills to of course work on site and/ or work for yourself in the future. Many students like Neil have selected this package after hearing what other students had to say about the Electrical Courses and Electrician Training we provide as it includes the following courses with both full time and part time options:
- City & Guilds Accredited Level 2 Electrical Course
- City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Course
- 18th Edition Course
- City & Guilds Accredited PAT Testing
- City & Guilds Accredited Inspection and Testing
- City & Guilds Accredited NVQ Level 3
- AM2 Assessments (Achievement Measurement 2)
Here's What Neil Had To Say About His Training:
"I would highly recommend Able Skills for anyone looking to become an Electrician. I did the Level 2 first and was really impressed with how much I learnt. I read a lot of good things about Able Skills online and thought it would be a good idea to come and visit the centre. I'm now doing my Inspection & Testing Course and looking forward to getting my NVQ Level 3 done"
Why The JIB Gold Card In The First Place?
"Well I currently work in security and it definitely isn't something I want to do forever. I could earn more as an Electrician and I'd be a lot safer too. I do enjoy hands on type of work and for the hours I'm putting into security work, I reckon I could make a hell of a lot more. I wouldn't mind doing more courses to potentially be a builder one day too"
Having got his Level 2 and 3 out the way, Neil is well on his way of becoming a JIB Gold Card holder. It's a very good package for anyone who knows they definitely want to become an Electrician in the future and will put them above anyone else competing for work on site.
