Starting something new means the beginning of new challenges. When Nicky Highland enrolled onto our Electrical Courses, he expected to be part of a learning environment that takes him from someone new to the trade, all the way to being employable with some real prospects to grow in the future.
This is exactly what the City & Guilds accredited Level 2 Electrical Course aims to do as those who have come from a completely different background need not fear, as our instructors tailor their teaching to fit your needs.
It was this element of the course that really impressed Nicky as he told us he always struggled with the theory aspect of courses. Although finding it the most challenging part, he went on to say how well he excelled due to there being...
''lots of help when needed. Any time I felt as if I needed an extra hand on something, my teacher was more than willing to go over things with me and really gave me the one on one help I needed to see me through''
We make sure we provide enough side by side help on our Electrical Courses whether it be the theory side of the course or the practical.
Nicky also said he was pleased Able Skills lived up to the expectations of our online presence as sometimes, things can prove to good to be true. Currently being an Air Conditioning Engineer, he said such course will benefit his current roles and it even offers him the flexibility of working within both areas in the future.
Having commented, 'the whole set up of the course and the facilities really impressed me as I get my own space to learn and progress towards my assessment'.
Well thats good news! Because Nicky is now undertaking his practical assessment of his Level 2 Electrical Course this week which he comments he is, 'well prepared and confident for'.
Being initially less confident, Nicky cannot wait to come back for his City & Guilds accredited Level 3 Electrical Course commencing in just 2 weeks time. Such a massive improvement is a true reflection on the direction given to students here and we hope this motivates those reading to take a step forward to being where they want to be.
