Electrical courses could offer huge benefits to UK householders who are planning on turning their current property into their ideal home.
According to recent research from Shelter and the Royal Institute of British Architects, renovation among homeowners is currently more popular for its ability to transform a property, rather than add value to it.
Furthermore, 74 per cent aim to make the most out of space and improve the house's style, while 12 per cent want to make it more energy efficient, it found.
And it could be that workers who have taken electrical courses make it easier for Brits to carry out their ideal home improvement projects - and to the highest possible standard.
Commenting on the study, Campbell Robb, chief executive of Shelter - the housing and homelessness charity established in 1966 by the Reverend Bruce Kenrick - said the research shows that "home is so much more to people than just a financial asset".
