British workers who have completed an electrical course could find themselves in demand to assist with a new development scheme in London.
The London Development Agency (LDA) announced today (March 24th) that £3 million is set to be invested in improving public space in and around Rainham Village, which aims to make the surroundings more pleasant and less cluttered.
Commenting on the news, mayor of London Boris Johnson said: "When completed Rainham village will be transformed, with a revitalised town centre and numerous new access points for locals to explore the many walkways along the fantastic East London Green Grid."
And it could be that qualified electricians will be in demand to carry out electrical work that needs doing as part of the ambitious project.
The LDA works to make London as sustainable as possible, complete with strong economic growth, environmental improvement and social inclusion.
It produces the Mayor's Economic Development Strategy for London.
