There may soon be more demand among women for electrical courses, as one expert has suggested ladies are increasingly getting involved with DIY projects.
Cherry Read, head of communications and campaigns at the Electrical Safety Council (ESC), claimed that females are reclaiming sheds from men, getting involved in much more home improvement and gardening.
Ms Read said: "We're using our gardens more because we're entertaining with these hotter days. Garden parties are encouraging women to go out and make the garden look like a nice place to relax."
In her opinion, there has previously been a fairly even split between the genders when it comes to gardening, but that ladies are beginning to edge out their male counterparts.
The expert's comments were made after the launch of National Shed Week, which started on July 4th and aims to promote awareness of safety issues in such buildings.
According to ESC research, 32 per cent of people incorrectly leave mains-powered tools uncovered in their sheds.
