New year, new career with our Electrician Courses!
Gold Card Approved Electrician Package - Is the ultimate package when looking to work on multiple sites away from a domestic setting! Almost everything that is available at Able Skills from an electrical point of view has been put into this package which exceeds the requirements of a JIB Gold Card! Meaning that this package of electrician courses is not necessarily for those looking to become a traditional domestic electrician but for somebody who would like to work on a multitude of different project and in varied settings.
What does the course include?
18th Edition Course
Firstly, 18th Edition as you know, is something anyone carrying out electrical installations needs to achieve by law. It is an offense to do this without having the latest knowledge on wiring regulations and therefore we include this on theJIB Gold Card route.
C&G level 2 & 3
The Level 3 2365 is a natural stepping stone for anyone who has completed their Level 2 2365. After learning what is taught on the 2365, students can expect to take their skills and knowledge to the next level on a course like this, which will not only expand on aspects learnt at Level 2 but add more knowledge and practical skills to your arsenal!
C&G PAT Testing
Portable Appliance Testing courses are predominantly theory based as there are on-line exams to complete however there is also a practical assessment associated with the C&G 2377-22 award so practical training with the aid of PAT testing equipment will be undertaken.
Inspection & Testing
Inspection & Testing 2391 is exactly what it sounds like the inspection of installations to check for any issues or faults and testing is to check if the installation is in working order and functions as it should. At Able Skills, we offer Inspection & Testing courses that are 6-days in total and will be theory-based. The instructor will go through everything that you will be expected to know about Inspection and Testing on both new and existing installations.
NVQ Level 3
NVQ Level 3 or National Vocation Qualification is what most electricians aspire to gaining as it automatically makes you stand out from anyone working within electrics and is a big step in ultimately achieving JIB Gold Card status.
AM2
Finally, the AM2 Assessment! We have a dedicated AM2 centre here at Able Skills so that we can provide our students with a space to complete this test separate from the busyness of the rest of the training facility.
How have our students enjoyed the experience?
Jason, 25 was working a retail job here in Dartford and was contemplating starting a career that would take him further than his current work ever could, his farther a retired electrician told him what a good opportunity self-employed electrical work is. After looking online he saw all of the great feedback about our training centre and decided to give us a call - 13-months later, Jason is working, earning more than ever and is planning on being self-employed within the next 6-months an absolute turn-around and an example of what can be done via this all inclusive package.
Kevin, 36 always thought about becoming an electrician but in the end worked in IT. Later in life he began to workout and eventually became a part-time personal trainer, however, the IT work became dull and he wanted something more active and mobile and searched online for a job in which he would have to move around and meet new people - The thought of becoming an electrician came back into his head but thought he might be to old to start such a profession. After giving us a call he realised that age isn't really a factor at hand and that retraining at any age can be done and should be done if you really want to achieve something. He opted for the Gold Card Approved Electrician route as it seemed like it gave almost every course that he read about, all-in-one. Now working and loving his new profession Kevin wonders why he didn't take up a trade sooner.
