Electrical training courses could provide tradespersons with skills that are extremely beneficial to themselves and the British economy.
UK Skills recently revealed that its National Training Awards 2010 will be launched this month in conjunction with the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.
They will recognise success that has been achieved as a result of training, with more than 1,000 applications expected for this year's event.
Commenting on the announcement, Simon Bartley, chief executive of UK Skills, said that training is extremely important.
"Everybody now realises that for the United Kingdom - as a country, as employers and as individuals development of skills is something that is core to their future," he explained.
Mr Bartley added that people are now interested in training and gaining new skills both for boosting their job prospects and for their own personal development.
Furthermore, he went on to say that the "application" and "relevance to business and to individuals" has never been higher.
