Electrician Training at Able Skills

Able Skills has a minimum of 250 students training at our centre on any given week throughout the year, 7 days a week. We host a variety of different Electrical Courses and Electrician Training and we thought we would update you on what exactly we have running this week in our IET Centres of Excellence.

Able Skills will see students who are both new and experienced to the electrical industry this week and embark on various journeys on their way to becoming fully qualified Electricians. Let's have a look at the different courses running and what they can lead to!

The City & Guilds Level 2 Electrical Course

This electrical course is aimed at those who are new to the industry and don't hold any current electrical qualifications. It's ran on a full time basis (as well as on part time basis on weekends and a home study option) for 7 weeks Monday to Friday. Why is this the most popular option for new comers? Because we cover everything students need along with a City & Guilds qualification to begin working out on site with a syllabus that includes what you can realistically expect out in the working world.

The Advanced Domestic Electrical Installer Course (Part P Courses)

Here we have a course that stands out amongst our Electrical Courses which is designed primarily for those who are looking to carry out work within a domestic dwelling ONLY. It covers you to get into the property development game or even if you simply want to re-wire your own house. This advanced course even covers you for the next course we also have running this week...

The 18th Edition Course (Latest Wiring Regulations)

Thinking of carrying out electrical installations? Well you better be qualified to do so! As of January this year, it is a legal requirement to ensure you're up to date with the latest wiring regulations to ensure you can safely carry out electrical work. With the number of hazards and incidents steadily increasing, the law won't hesitate to penalise anyone thinking they're above the law.
