AM2 or Achievement Measurement 2 is a practical assessment with a short online component. The purpose is to ensure qualified electricians achieve a single standard that has been agreed by the employers in the industry as meeting their needs from qualified personnel. Here at our training centre we offer a full range of Electrician courses including AM2 assessments over a period of 3-days with an option 1-day refresher course for those want to have an extra day of preparation. Students will be expected to install, terminate, connect, inspect, test, commission and diagnose faults in accordance with the installation specification provided by the assessor. Why take your AM2 with us?
At Able Skills we offer a dedicated AM2 centre within our facility so that students can prepare for their exam separate from the rest of the busy centre. Our instructors have been carrying out this assessment for a long time and have structured the process to make it as straightforward as possible. We have a great reputation for Electrical courses and assessments and generally, we do our best to ensure students get as much support as they need. When it comes to the assessment itself, we have specially equipped booths containing typical electrical installation wiring systems for you to carry out tasks with. Alternatively, you are welcome to visit our training centre in person, whilst here we can discuss the qualifications that we teach in more detail and even take you on a guided tour around our centre to see our facilities and know what to expect when you attend. Our office is open 7-days-a-week between 8:30 - 16:30. Feel free to come and speak to a member of staff unannounced, just make sure you are being conscious of social distancing.
Live too far away? If you live a considerable distance from our training centre then you may have thought about a hotel in the local area. We actually offer our own accommodation to our students for the reasonable price of just £20 per night! All of our accommodation is within a short walking distance from our centre. The properties will provide you with your own fully furnished room with washing facilities and TV. There are several bathrooms/WCs as well as fully fitted kitchens and a dining areas to eat and/or meet your fellow students. - If you are interested in securing accommodation for the duration of your electrician courses, make sure to contact us ahead of your starting date as spaces are limited!
