"Good overall content, all the information was explained well and in a clear manner. I now feel more confident in my personal ability, enough to do some DIY at home. I now know how to use the tools and I can apply my new found knowledge. I started this course with little to no experience when it comes to carpentry. I found this training centre online and decided to train here because of the introductory course option and the centre isn't too far from where I live. Good value for money and a great introduction to the trade." - S Williams
"Kevin was great at explaining the techniques and procedures. The content was a good base of knowledge and skills and provides a good starting point to learn from. I think I did pretty good. I've used lots of power saws but never hand tools in such a way. I look forward to wood working more and possibly training here in the future." - S Fey
"The content has covered all of what I expected to gain from the course and more. Delivery from the instructors has been good also. The instructors were all clear and concise when it cam to their teaching . I was stressed when it came to preparing for my assessments but this was not on the instructors and more my own expectations. Kevin was very reassuring and helpful when it came to this. I feel that I have progressed hugely throughout the course. Having finished the assessments early I feel the last two weeks were massively helpful even more so with huge guidance from Paul. With no pressure of constant assessments I felt I could absorb more info and learn even more skills without looming exams. Paul has been a great influence over the past 2-weeks and deserves a lot of credit!" - K Adams
"I was put onto Able Skills through a recommendation and the course was very good. The course delivery was great with the teachers having great knowledge of the trade especially Martins knowledge of the trade. I have progressed very well and I have learnt a lot with practical applications and felt confident with assessments. Great learning experience." - H Dhah
"Kevin the instructor is patient and very good at what he does I'm really glad to have chosen this training centre to take on training in Carpentry and enjoyed my experience here. Excellent option for just a 5-day course, although short there was a lot to learn." - G Shehan
"A Huge array of skills learnt, from joinery to structural carpentry, from joiney to structural carpentry such as filling and making door linings, fitting doors and locks was a great bit of knowledge to learn on just a week long course. I have progressed significantly throughout the week, I had some previous experience but still learnt a huge amount. All the instructors were brilliant. Overall I had a fantastic week. "This course was really helpful for me and presented a lot of information for just an introductory type course. I didn't expect to learn as much as I did in just a week of training. I thought that the instructions and staff at this place were really helpful and willing to answer questions and generally provide assistance when needed." - J Hobb
