Green energy training apprentices may be reassured to learn that despite the slowdown in the development of apartment schemes in recent years, there is still ample demand for well-designed spacious apartments, according to one construction expert.
Stephen Marchant, the managing director at Masefields Architects and Surveyors, a West Midlands-based company that was formed in 1976, said that the general public is becoming more aware of the need for sustainably-designed buildings.
People are increasingly seeking homes which implement energy-saving measures, he continued.
His comments follow the company's move to new offices at Studley Point as part of its continued growth and expansion plans.
"The design focus has been on ensuring that the homes are highly efficient and of low running costs, ultimately providing desirable homes that remain practical and functional, now and in the future," stated Mr Marchant.
He added that the integration of renewable technologies is also frequently a focus within the industry.
