Home-Study Electrician courses are available!
Thinking about a career as an electrician? Unfortunately, we are fully-booked until the new year in terms of our electrician courses, however, you can always get started straight away with our Home-Study options for both our City & Guilds Level 2 & Level 3 Electrician courses this is a great way to start working towards these qualifications separate from our training centre. Below is our latest group of students starting the first week of the practical side of this alternative training option...
How does it work?
These course options allow you to start learning the theory side of the trade-in your own time and space. We will send a 'Home-Study Pack' straight to your home, you will also have access to the online learning platform 'SmartScreen' as an additional platform to learn from. Take your time to work through the pack and you'll be fully prepared for the practical side of the course. Once you feel confident that you understand all of the information provided you can contact us a book 4-weeks of practical training and exams, these dates are chosen by you and the weeks should be separated. Ideally, you should take at least 6-weeks reviewing the home study electrician pack before you consider attending for your first block of practical training.
Each week you'll take on practical tasks as well as small tests along the way to ensure that you have understood the theory that you should have learnt at home. The course will start with the fundamentals and move on week by week to more advanced aspects, the final week will consist of practical assessments, During each of the first 3-weeks you'll also need to take on online exams during those weeks in our dedicated exam room. How can I get started?
There are a few options to book courses with us. firstly, you can simply call us on 01322 280 202 we are happy to answer questions and get you booked in. You can also just walk into our office in person during opening hours and book a course. Finally, you can book courses online through our website, simply look for the course that's right for you such as our Home-Study Level 2 and look for the button marked 'Reserve your Space' fill in your details and a copy of the 'Home-Study Pack' will be sent straight to your front door!

We have our own accommodation which is available on a room only basis and is located only 5 minutes from the Training Centre. The Accommodation is owned by Able Skills and will only ever be used by our students; the property also has a large car park so, for any of our visitors who are considering driving to us, vehicles can be left there quite safely.
