Get a feel for the environment you could be training in, this is the carpentry workshop this morning, this is a friendly, helpful and constructive environment to train on all types of levels, from introduction to carpentry to advanced courses moving towards NVQ levels 2 & 3.

Able skills provide a variety of Carpentry and Joinery courses and assessments, we can teach you whatever level you are looking to achieve and this can be done through the week, at weekends or even a mixture of both!

To get a feel for the training centre and the courses we provide; why not take an introductory carpentry course. These are five days long in total and consist of the most common aspects of carpentry from:

  • Use of hand tools such as chisels, planes etc.
  • Cutting basic joints
  • Cutting and fitting dado rails, architraves, skirting and doorstops
  • Fitting a lock

Monday – Friday = 08:30 – 16:30

Saturday – Sunday = 8:30 – 16:30

(All courses start every week, including bank holidays and the carpentry centre is also open for 2 weekends  a month.)
