Inspection and Testing courses for experienced electricians!

We are training aspiring electricians here at Able Skills, as usual, this week with social distancing measures in place. For those of you who are experienced electricians looking to gain some additional understanding of Inspection and Testing, we have a Level 3 qualification. Inspection and Testing courses help you to develop the knowledge and practical skills required to professionally install and carry out initial verification and periodic inspection and testing on electrical installations over 5-days. This qualification is seen as a more advanced course for electricians, meaning you should have an underpinning understanding of electrical installations as a whole.

What will I learn?

This is a theory-based course, your instructor will go through everything that you will be expected to know about Inspection and Testing on both new and existing installations. You'll come to understand a whole range of different aspects surrounding first inspecting an installation and testing for faults. Aspects such as; safe isolation of electrical circuits and installations, requirements for initial verification of electrical installations, safety of systems and equipment prior to completion of inspection and testing & commissioning and much more all in preparation for an online exam, a written examination and finally a practical exam comprising of a full Initial verification and a Periodic inspection (combined within the same assessment) of a three-phase electrical installation, including completion of all appropriate documentation.
