Here at Able Skills we don't just run long-term courses that get you geared for professional work, we also understand that some candidates will want and need a more introductory course, so for plumbing that would be our Introduction to Plumbing Course - Which we have just released 2020 dates for starting in both February & March so get involved, enroll before the spaces are taken and gain some top-quality plumbing training!
During this short 5-day introductory course we will go over the fundamental aspects of plumbing so that you have an overall idea of the trade, learning about; plumbing systems and fitting, soldering techniques, pike work (jointing, bending and pressure testing copper tube), dealing with valves, taps, cisterns and much more! Although short, the course will mostly involve hands-on practical learning, after all the best way to learn in to get stuck in! The course will cover all of the obvious issues that can arise within a domestic property in an attempt to teach you how to deal with certain things - Our team of plumbing instructors will be there to help you along the way - they have years of experience and knowledge gained from time spent teaching and working out on-site in the industry.
Our course, in particular, is recognised by the qualification body City & Guilds meaning that upon successful completion of the course you will receive a City & Guild's certificate for this Introduction to Plumbing course! - All of the tools and materials that this course requires will be supplied for you however it is essential that you have protective footwear (steel toe-cap boots).

If you live a considerable distance from our centre, please be aware that we do have accommodation available to our students for the reasonable price of £20 per night. The accommodation is located just a short walk away from our centre. We hope that this gives some relief to students who are eager to gain training that live just out of reach.
