Employment in the construction industry is due to hit record numbers in Kent due to a rise in the industry post-Brexit.
There is due to be more construction jobs available in Kent over the next few months and the largest amount ever after a boom within the construction industry. This is down to lots of work being planned within the Kent and South East region.
It is begin reported on KentNews that’s almost 20,000 construction workers will be needed in the Kent and South East regions in the next five years, this is according to the CITB. It is also expected that the number of construction workers in the region will reach over 412,000, which is more than the pre-recession peak of 2008.
The increase is down to the boom in the construction industry since the Brexit vote was made and skilled workers will be needed across a variety of different construction trades. With lots of big projects planned across Kent, such as, the Paramount Park and the Ebbsfleet Garden City.
With the boom in the industry it has given way for lots of job opportunities in all construction trades and will allow lots of people to get work and maybe even start a new career.
