Learn at your own pace to become an Electrician!
We have been teaching the trade of electrics for a long time, we know that there are many people out there who are considering a career in the trade that simply don't have the time. To combat this we have a way that students can complete a few of our electrician courses in a manner that allows for flexibility. Today we will be talking about our Home Study Electrics Level 2 and Level 3 - How it works and how to complete it successfully! We have plenty of availability in 2020 on this course so there is no excuse to make those steps towards a new job and a new life for yourself this year!
How does this 'Home-Study' course work?
The way that this course works is that instead of learning all of the theory surrounding electrics here at our centre in a classroom, you will be provided with some materials such as our 'Home-Study Pack' & access to the online learning platform 'Smart-Screen'. With these tools you will learn the theory in your own time! Then you will attend Able Skills to learn practical skills and complete exams.
Obviously, this course includes both the Level 2 & Level 3 qualification. Meaning that you will learn theory for level 2, then attend our centre and complete the course before starting the cycle again and learning the Level 3 in your own time before, again, returning to Able Skills to complete practical learning and exams towards your level 3!
The attendance for the level 2 is 4 weeks (20 days) and once level 2 is complete, we begin the process again with the level 3 self-study pack, this will require 3 weeks attendance (15 days).

So...Hopefully this Home Study Electrics Level 2 and Level 3 course allows some of you with limited time on your hands to consider taking on electrical training - Obviously there is no way to complete a qualification without attending our centre as we need to teach you the practical skills themselves but taking the theory aspects out of the equation makes for less time in total spent at our centre, which may be more piratical when looking to take time away from an existing job to train. When taking on both Level 2 & Level 3 theory we recommend you to spend at least 3 to 6 months studying the theory aspect of this award before you make arrangements to attend Able Skills to undertake exams and to start the practical training.
