Level 3 Inspection and Testing Electrician courses available!

Here in Dartford, Kent at our training centre this week we are continuing to operate as usual during this second lockdown period. Electrician courses at Able Skills are very popular and have always been a sought-after training option. On your path learning the trade of electrics, you will cover a huge range of topics. Inspection and Testing is an essential skills for people in the trade, our Level 3 Award in Inspection and Testing is combines all of the elements of Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection and Testing. This 6-day course is perfect for those working towards becoming a professional and practicing electricians who have not carried out inspection and testing since qualifying.

What will I learn?

Over this 6-day course you will mostly be taught within a classroom setting focusing on gaining an understanding; safe isolation of electrical circuits and installations, the requirements for initial verification of electrical installations, the requirements for completing the inspection of electrical installations prior to their being placed into service, requirements for the safe testing and commissioning of electrical installations and things like how to interpret test results. Overall the course will enable you to carry out Inspection and Testing on both new and existing installations to a good level, working safely and competently with the underpinning theory knowledge behind you.

Although this Level 3 Inspection and Testing combined course is completely theory based you will be required to take on a 2.5 hour practical assignment; comprising of a full Initial verification and a Periodic inspection (combined within the same assessment) of a three-phase electrical installation, including completion of all appropriate documentation - To ensure that you can put the theory into practice. Additionally, you'll be assessed via one online multiple-choice examination and one written test to test said theory knowledge.

If you live a considerable distance from our training centre then you may be interested in using our accommodation for the duration of your training with us. We offer accommodation exclusively to our students for the reasonable price of just £20 per night! The properties will provide you with your own fully furnished room with washing facilities and TV. There are several bathrooms/WCs as well as fully fitted kitchens and a dining areas to eat and/or meet your fellow students. - If you are interested in booking accommodation with us make sure to contact us with plenty of time before your starting date as spaces are limited!
