Over the past four years, one of our electrical instructors, Paul Hewson, has completed four London to Brighton bike rides. He has raised a lot of money for charity and has been very successful doing this for a number of different charities.
On Sunday, Paul completed his fourth London to Brighton bike ride and it took him just over six hours to complete it. He was riding for the British Heart Foundation which he has done for three of the four times he has completed the bike ride.
Paul completed the bike ride last year for Bike for Cancer, which he also raised a lot of money for. He has achieved a lot in the last few years for charity and he has no plan in stopping there.
In September this year Paul is doing a monster bike ride from London to Paris, this is to mark the 100 year anniversary of the Battle of Somme. He is riding for the Royal British Legion and he wants to raise a lot of money for our service men and women. This is a huge task, but everyone at Able Skills is confident that he will complete it in great time. Also, he has enough training and experience to smash it.
During his years riding the London to Brighton race, Paul has raised over £1600 for the British Heart Foundation. We are all extremely proud of him and we hope he goes onto raise even more money for charity in the future.
In the meantime, Paul will continue to give all his students a fantastic training experience and they will all learn so much from his wide range of knowledge. All his students are always extremely pleased with what they achieve during his courses, and long may it continue.
