What is included in this package?
To begin, this package of electrical courses starts with Introduction to Basic Domestic Electrics - This is the ideal starting point on the journey to becoming a competent person. The course is delivered using a blended learning approach, mixing theory and practical, keeping you engaged at all times. The course will give you the practical basics and increase you confidence in the fundamentals!
Next, the 18th Edition which is a necessary for anybody working with electrics. Our particular 5-day course is aimed at giving you the ability and understanding in terms of how to navigate the latest wiring regulations effectively. The course is entirely classroom-based, focusing on gaining familiarity with the layout, content and application of the regulations. Also known as the IET Wiring Regulations, these are the definitive standards for the electrical industry in respect of the safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems.
Moving on...it is time for Inspection & Testing! This qualification is an introduction to the inspection, testing and certification of new electrical installations. This skill is a fundamental of the electricians arsenal, which is why it is included in this package...This Inspection and testing qualification not only helps you to fully understand testing, it also provides you with a qualification and certificate to show you are competent to undertake the work.
Upon Completion – scheme registration.
Various competent persons scheme providers will have different entry requirements and ways of assessing your competence, so it is advised that you consider contacting your preferred provider ahead of booking a course to confirm their requirements. Some scheme providers will require evidence of practical experience before progressing your application. Some may also test your competence with an online knowledge assessment to ensure you have the required understanding to progress your application. We do recommend that complete new entrants work with an experienced electrician to build up experience.
