Most asked questions about Electrician courses answered!
Here at Able Skills, we have been providing electrician training for many years now. We understand what students are looking for and how to deliver the training they need in a manner that is useful, easy to digest and well prepared. A lot of people are probably thinking about a change in direction after this difficult period, so we thought we'd answer some frequent questions about Electrician courses. The centre will look quite different if you've trained with us before with social distancing measures thoroughly in place to ensure the safety of both our students and staff!
Where are we?
Our centre is located a couple of minutes away from Dartford train station here in Kent. We are well situated for road, rail and bus links and if you consider that the journey may be too far away from where you live, we have our own accommodation which is local to the Training Centre and complete with all amenities. You should not have any trouble finding us we are easy to locate and have plenty of parking available.
How much does it cost?
We are confident in the training that we provide at Able Skills which is why we do not take payment in full upfront. We are happy to take a deposit to secure a booking with any balance being paid in interest-free instalments. The amount obviously depends on the amount of training you are looking to engage in and which particular courses you enrol in. All of the training available varies in price. We do believe in providing a value for money service and we have no hidden costs, no extras to pay and all of our costs include VAT. We do believe that everyone should have access to training which is why we offer the most reasonable payment plans. Even if these are not within your financial range, we can provide you with details of available adult funding options, like the Government 24+ Advanced Learning Loans for instance. However, as an example, our City & Guilds Level 2 Electrical Course is £3,195.00 which can be paid in 9 instalments of £299.44 – payable on the first weekend of each block of training.
Will I gain recognised qualifications?
Here at Able Skills, we are considered an IET Centre of Excellence. We have been providing reputable training for a long time and we know what qualifications are relevant for all the trades we offer. Specifically for Electrician courses, we provide City & Guilds qualifications. We are amongst the few training providers who can offer you progression and if qualifications are your choice – take you from novice to expert.
What courses do you offer?
We recommend that you take some time to look through the many courses we offer, simply click 'Courses' and then 'Electrician courses' to see the full list. We offer everything an aspiring electrician could need from our City & Guilds Level 2 Electrical Course to our City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Course and everything in between such as our 18th edition courses. We even have courses for experienced traders like our Inspection and Testing level 3! Maybe you are looking to get a taste of the trade before commuting to a full-time course then consider our Introduction to Basic Domestic Electrics or if you're committed to a new career in electrics then take a look at our most complete package of training - Gold Card Approved Electrician Course which includes; City & Guilds Level 2, City & Guilds Level 3, PAT Testing, 18th Edition, Inspection & Testing and an AM2 assessment! This course is the all-in-one package for those looking to gain JIB Gold Card Status!
We even offer alternative training methods. Home-Study options such as our Home Study Electrics Level 2 allow you to learn the theory side of a qualification at home, then attend the centre at a later date to learn the practical side. This works by effectively replacing the instructor with our trusted 'Home-Study Pack' which includes all of the theory, test questions, calculations and so on. You will learn the theory in your own time and then attend the centre for practical training and to complete assessments. There is no excuse not to give electrical training a go here at Able Skills!
