More tradesmen in Hampshire may soon consider PV training after plans for a solar farm in the New Forest moved a step closer.
The plan to install 25,000 of the devices in a 12-hectare field at Whitefield Farm in Langley was approved by the National Park Authority, although it was not without its detractors.
Engineers who have completed PV training look set to install the solar panels for the Cadland Estate and one local councillor has backed the application.
Speaking to the Daily Echo, Alexis McEvoy, who represents South Waterside, stressed that the plans will not cause harm to the landscape.
She told the publication: "I haven't received a single objection to the proposal. It will be silent, completely emission free and virtually invisible from publicly-accessible areas."
The Sterts Theatre in Cornwall recently showed off its brand new solar panel system, which was installed thanks to contributions from the local council and the Renewable Energy Co-operative.
