Tool manufacturer Klein Tools has announced the release of its new line of Electrician’s Insulated Tools, boasting slimmer and easier to handle profiles.
The range is certified by VDE, the Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies and features new injection-moulded grips complete with Klein’s three-part insulation.
The insulation system includes a white underlayer that acts as a continuous sleeve around the metal handle, meaning that a warning sign is given if the insulation is compromised. The layer also serves as an additional layer of protection for users.
The new range of tools – which include side cutters, long-nose pliers, side cutters, cable cutters, wire strippers and pump pliers – also features small thumb guards to ensure ease of handling and to allow for simple storage in a tool belt or kit.
Each one of the tools in the new range is marked with the official 1000V symbol, showing that the tool has been tested to 10,000V. They are also marked with the official VDE GS logo, proving that they are certified by the VDE Testing and Certification Institute in Germany.
David Klein, product manager at Klein Tools, said: “Safety is extremely important to electricians. This line was developed to provide the tools electricians use every day in a sleek insulated design that are easy to use and store.”
