This week has seen the start of a number of new courses at Able Skills, from two new Gas Courses, the return of our Bricklaying courses and a new group starting on our City & Guilds Level 2 Plumbing Course. It has been very busy and we are so glad to start helping people get back to training in their new careers in a safe and secure way.
Our new plumbing course started has seen a group of students start the journey to becoming qualified and competent Plumbers. Some students have previously been students of Able Skills on various courses beforehand and are now coming to increase their skill set.
We have been to see them in action today as they begin the first stages of their practical training with some basic pipe skills with 15mm and 22mm copper pipe with soldering and cutting. Tomorrow they will move onto pipe bending and much more. See them in action as they work individually in their own bays today on our YouTube Channel:
We offer various options for our Plumbing Courses here at Able Skills, from shorter DIY Courses to becoming fully qualified with City & Guilds qualifications and NVQs.
There are two ways to officially begin your career. Let's start with the most popular option from what we've experienced here at Able Skills. The Plumbing industry requires formal qualifications that prove your working towards becoming fully qualified and this is done via the world wide recognised City & Guilds Level 2 Plumbing Qualification.
This is a 6 week course that takes complete beginners to the trade and develops their skillset to the point which allows students to begin working out on site and gain initial Plumbing experience. It's a fully comprehensive course that employers like and with the variety of things taught on this course, it's no wonder why.
Alternatively, we have a Home Study plumbing course available that allows you to complete all theory work at home and carry out 4 weeks of practical training and exams in centre.
Also, our 5 day introduction to plumbing course will allow you to get the basic skills to carry out DIY jobs and more. We see lots of bathroom fitters, DIYers, Property Developers and Small Business owners take this course.
