As one gas came to an end on Friday, we have welcomed a brand-new group of students to our centre this week on a new gas course. We have a group full of New Entrants to industry ready to train towards their new careers.
This year has proved to be extremely popular for students training to become Gas Safe Engineers. Whether they are Qualified Plumbers or New Entrants, we have seen a huge volume of people looking to get training in the gas industry.
Over the past couple of years, the Gas Industry has been cracking down on illegal gas work and training centres that aren’t completing gas training the right way. Here at Able Skills we don’t cut any corners and we make sure every single student gets the correct training and they are taught how to carry out gas work safely and correctly.
We take great pride in our gas training and making sure we offer the right training to all students. All our gas instructors work extremely hard to make sure they offer the best course possible. Both weekend and full-time courses are planned out and structured to fit the needs of every student that comes through our doors.
The new gas course starting this week is being taught by Ian and Richard. Two fantastic instructors that pride themselves in offering great training courses, along with all our other gas instructors they receive fantastic reviews from all their students.
As we met the new group we spoke to one of the students to see exactly why they are here on our New Entrants Gas Course.
Delia today started on her journey to a brand-new career as she trains to become a Gas Safe Engineer. Previously, she worked in Care for around 13 years, however, she decided it was time for a change. Delia has always loved DIY and has a passion for tiling and plumbing, for her new career she wanted to try something new and she decided to join the gas industry. She saw the gap in the industry for women to work in the trade and how more people want more females working in the industry.
Delia and the rest of her group will complete seven weeks of training with us at Able Skills before moving onto their portfolio.
